Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic. I understand your concern.

With appropriate antibiotic therapy, there is usually improvement within one to two days and recovery within seven to 10 days. So your child can join the camp by then.
The blood analysis indicate as below:
- low creatine level may be caused from a low protein diet or weight loss
- Globulin 3.7 it is close to the normal range.High serum globulin levels may be indicative of inflammatory disease, like in your child's case.
- MCV 79.7: might be a bit on the low normal side. It generally means you might be low on iron. This is not a concerning number, but if you want to conform if your iron is low, check the TIBC or ferritin level
- Eosinophils 10 high: the elevated level is not related to the typhoid infection your child is going through. Generally high Eosinophil count is related with parasite infections, asthma, allergic reactions etc.
- ESR 15 - it is a non-specific measure of inflammation, in this case, the inflammation due to Typhoid infection.
- Salmonella Typhi O 1:320 - it means that widal test having a titre above 1:160 is considered positive for Salmonella Typhi
- Proteus,OX2 1:80 -it indicates a negative result for an infection from Proteus.

I hope i was helpful. I wish to you and your child a healthy life!

Typhoid fever is an enteric disease affecting the intestines but with prolonged duration can affect other vital organs also. With the current advent of diagnostics and treatment drugs it's completely curable. Post infection there'll be a period of convalescence, it's better to avoid summer camp for now. Globulin is a type of plasma protein it's elevation reflects that there's some infection. Salmonella typhi is the bacteria causing typhoid since it's titers are high in Widal test diagnosis of the same has been made. Treatment includes appropriate antibiotics after culture - sensitivity testing and supportive care.
